The Last Guide Company

During Summer 2014, I had the fortune of working for The Last Guide Company (Last.co). I have always been interested in the location based services market and was able to secure this internship through cold e-mailing the CEO, Josh Williams. I worked directly with the CEO and CPO, along with a few other design members. Luckily, I was the ninth member of the growing team and got the opportunity to observe the on-boarding of later employees. I got to view the inner workings of a startup team and was extremely involved in many of the processes.

This summer was the first time I had experience with using OS X. I quickly learned how to use many new applications for my work including Omnigraffle, Keynote, Sketch, Flinto, and Framer. Previously, on Windows I mainly used Illustrator and Photoshop.

The applications I worked on are Goji and Go. Goji is a keyboard extension launching before Go with many similar functions. Go is a personal concierge to help you answer the question: "What should I do now?"

I was involved with solidifying the user interaction and flow charts, and I created many designs and prototypes for multiple parts of the application including user on-boarding, today extension, keyboard extension, and other in app flows. I created viewable animations for the app and extensions with Framer Studio.
